Kelly Bowers, Ph.D.

Dr. Kelly Bowers currently serves at Brighton Center working with parents (especially Moms!) struggling with specific challenges related to parenting, life stress and child development challenges from birth through college. 

Dr. Bowers provides in-office therapy services at Brighton Center

as well as phone consults to busy parents on the go.

Dr. Kelly Bowers is a licensed psychologist and mother of four. She received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas where she focused on individual strengths in children, adolescents and young adults. She was named one of the
University of Kansas's Women of Distinction for her research/clinical work at the University and in the community. She previously served as the Director of Counseling at Baker University in Kansas before beginning her role as a consultant for the Gallup Organization where she helps schools conduct research on how students capitalize on their strengths.

Dr. Kelly has contributed scholarly articles to various counseling psychology journals, the Positive Psychology Newsletter, Gallup's Strengths e-Newsletter, as well as numerous Gallup webinars. She most recently authored chapters in the book Positive Psychology in Practice and the 4-Volume series Positive Psychology Perspectives on the subject of making the most of human strengths. She was named by the Gallup Organization as a Positive Psychology Fellow for her continued research surrounding positive psychology concepts.
